Good to know

Questions, answered.

How does booking work?
Your Uncommon Giving team books and coordinates everything for you. Just tell your Account Manager your cause focus, team size, and timing. We'll recommend the right Project in a Box experience, in person or virtual, and handle the rest.
What is Project in a Box?
Project in a Box is a self-led volunteering experience, created with a nonprofit partner around a real community need. It comes in two formats. In person, your team gathers to build the project together using supplies shipped to your location. Virtually, people take part from wherever they are. Either way your Uncommon Giving team books and coordinates it, and the experience supports the nonprofit partner it was created with.
Do our people need to be in one place?
No. Choose the in-person format and supplies ship to wherever your people are, one location or many. Choose the virtual format and a distributed team takes part from anywhere.
How far in advance should we plan?
As a rule of thumb, Project in a Box experiences are booked about 3 weeks ahead for U.S. deliveries (4 weeks for other locations). Your Uncommon Giving team will map the timeline with you.
What's the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
It depends on whether your experience includes physical supplies.

Without physical supplies: cancel or reschedule at any time, no fees. Headcount can be changed at any time.

With physical supplies: cancel or reschedule free up to 3 weeks before your date. Inside 3 weeks, supply costs and the event service fee are non-refundable. Headcount can be adjusted up to the 3-week mark, after which supply costs are calculated on the headcount on file, so book for the number of people you are confident will attend.

Some experiences carry a minimum number of participants, shown on the experience page.
Does this change our Uncommon Giving program?
Not at all, it adds to it. Your giving, matching, volunteering, campaigns, and reporting all work exactly as they do today. Project in a Box is a new, fully-coordinated way for your people to make an impact together.
